Kayaker

Kayaker
I just love how printing on old dictionary pages turns out.  With a little help from Tim I was able to add some filters to the image.  The red and black paper was a gift from my friend Michele which I collaged to the substrate.  After the filtering I stenciled just a bit and then added "Kayaker".  It all seems simple but it took a long time to explore filters.  I just love how the words come through the image of the man.

I love this too!
The simplicity is so appealing,
yet I know there is a lot of time involved.
Another winner!

This is awesome! What a great idea, collaging right onto dictionary pages!

Very fine John- I love that you shared what you did here. I have often wanted to do this. I know the artist Nick Bantock does this- printing right on special papers. He talks about this in his book: Urgent 2nd Class
