OK, I love the way the bird's eye and the target mirror each other.  I also like the way the birds feathers and the words are jagged. Just works for me. :-)  This is the last of the 52 series until January or later.  On December 1 I am starting a series that is actually a 6 x 6 round robin that I have been participating this year.

I think the bushel must contain potatoes but I was hoping they were apples.  I saw an apple pie at Costco that looked to be scrumptious.  So apples are on the brain right now! :-)  On second thought they must be apples because who would be preparing this many potatoes at one sitting.  Hmm!

Sometimes I have to let a piece set for awhile.  Perhaps I thought it was complete and then after a few weeks I look again and think I could add to it.  I think I might add to this piece.  Maybe a little bird on the elephants back.  Maybe something more in the foreground like vegetation.  I will try it out and let you know.

It feels good to be back working on my art since my trip.  I have had to ease back into it as I just did not have the energy.  I guess that was jet lag.  Life does go on and household duties claimed some of my time.  I made four trips to the Goodwill with stuff from the garage.  I put some things out on the busy street near my cul de sac with a free sign and within minutes they had disappeared.  I like that someone will get use out of those old pieces of furniture.  I am working on two pieces for the NW Collage Society show coming up.  The deadline is November 30.  So I have to get busy and finish the pieces in the next two weeks.

Getting over jet lag has taken a few days but I think I am pretty much back on my schedule.  It is funny that when you take a trip and are in the midst of it, it is real.  Then you return home and the trip is over and you only have memories.  It is almost as if it is unreal.  Does that sound strange?

Somehow number 43 got skipped over in the travels of this artist!  Oops!

I thought I was being so smart when preparing for my trip to Ireland.  Tim and I went to Costco and other stores to find new luggage.  We ended up buying at Costco because it was  a good deal and we got two suitcases for a reasonable price.  Then we purchased another carry on bag.  The problem with buying at a store that is international like Costco is that other people do the same thing.  Even though we bought luggage tags, there were so many like suitcases on the luggage carousel at the airport that now I am going to have to do something to create instant recognition on the suitcases.  Hmm!  I could paint or collage! We shall see.  Any ideas?

Nice to be home. Nice to have great memories of someplace I always wanted to visit.  Hopefully, one, day, I will return to Ireland.  I highly recommend a visit if you have never been before.  The country is beautiful and the people are friendly.
