Cape of Good Hope

Cape of Good Hope
A few weeks ago I went to a flea market and found a great primer reader.  It only cost $3.00 and the seller wanted to know what I was going to do with it.  I mentioned that I was a collage artist and I told her I would be cutting pictures out of the book.  You should have seen her face.  She said, "You know you can photo copy the images!"  I think she did not want me cutting up the book.

My philosophy right now is to use the originals.  I have so much ephemera and I really do not need to save images.  I say use them.  That is what I am doing with the photos that I am sorting through.  Use them!  I can't take them with me.  I have no children to give them to and I still have them all documented in the art that I do.  Most of the photos I have are nameless. So use them I say! :-)

I'm with you -- use that shit up! I'm doing the same with fabrics I dyed years ago that I'd been saving for the future. NOW is that future!

Way past the saving for later stage,
now, use it! ;o)

Let me chime in here as well - yes, use the originals! I have found that there is always more if needed!!!

Nice one. I am also going to say I seldom copy things- somethings I get online and must print out but over all time to use it.
