Secrets 16 - Okies

Okie
I have a good friend who used to live in Oklahoma when she was younger.  She visits about once a year but always comes home glad to be back in the Pacific NW.  This past visit, however, she branched out and visited the southeast portion of the state and she came back exclaiming how friendly everyone was.  I imagine it to be down home America.  I just wish their politics were different than they are.

I am wondering if the area that she visited is anything like the book Where the Red Fern Grows.  It is one of my favorite children's books and it takes place not far from where Jeannie visited...Tahlequah is the setting for the book.  I have a vivid image in my mind of the local color after having read the book about five or six times.

What a charming collage!
You gave it a setting & color that
really does covey warmth and locality.
I so enjoy each and every post, John!
