I did a lot of sanding on this piece. I like the softness created by this technique. I especially like how the layers look. To me, this has a painterly look.
Like your love bird - with the matching bits of colour I thought it was a pair of love birds until I saw one had a forked tail! Very gentle but the bits of red make it a nice design.
