New Price

New Price
Sometimes I spend days and days even weeks and weeks on a spread.  Then there are days when it just flows in about an hour.  New Price came about in just that, 60 minutes.  Funny how that is!  The more work I seem to do the more I am in touch with knowing when it is time to stop.  That is a gift of experience.

Is that 9d? An old British price? Gosh - it seems such a long time since we lost our pounds, shillings and pence (the d!) I recall hearing American tourists being totally amazed by the coinage system on a bus. Yet those of us who are old enough can come up with 6s8d as one-third of a pound and double that is 13s4d. Kids now don't know how easy they should find it all - theoretically!
Nice spread!

I know what you mean. There is no rhyme or reason to the amount of time it takes for a piece to come together. Sometime I wait and wait and other time, I feel guilty at how quickly it happens. Love this piece, John! Oh... and I have not see your new banner. I like it very much.
