Just go for it, John! I've seen guy with bright green bowtie and Dali moustache, and one with a long jacket which looked like bright floral cushion cover! Anything goes.
PS Saw the Degas yesterday and loved it - favourite pic an anxious horse pulling at the rope tying him to a tree (colour overall brown and green!) but the pastels were lovely.
