Thanks anonymous for letting me know the artist for the characters in this piece. I found the three included in this piece in a children’s reader. I tear out ephemera all the time and then keep it until the right moment. As I remember, the original was much larger. I am wondering if the male character in the middle could be Shakespeare? Now I am curious. Although I have, of course, heard of Raggedy Andy I had not heard of Johnny Gruelle. Thanks for that piece of information.
