The signature at the bottom is from a check written in 1872. Can you imagine a document you signed being used in 100 or more years? It would never have come into my imagination until I used it myself in this piece. So maybe something I have written, a letter for instance, will surface years to come. I will be long gone by then. :-)

Yes…i have been looking through a 100 year old cottage guest book…and pretty nearly everyone in it is gone…it’s rather sobering..
