 I am running out of vintage photos and so I have been searching for more online.  It is like a grab bag when ordering because one just not know if there will be treasure or not.  My last order was fantastic.  Fingers crossed on the next one.

Vintage photos of people I do not know give me an opportunity to create a narrative for those people in the photo.  Looking at someone and coming up with a plausible story about who they are is just plain fun. It is kind of like going to the mall and people watching.  I love to do that as well. :-)

I bought a packet of vintage photographs from the 1930s recently.  Someone had taken them out of a photo album and put them up for sale.  What a treasure trove I received!  They were a bit musty smelling.  So i put them in a baggy with drier sheets and now they are just fine.

 Working with vintage photos is just plain fun.  I like to create a narrative in my head as I work with them. It is my happy place.

I entered the Tieton 10 x 10 x 10 juried show in June and got in.  I have two tiny books in a sculptural piece that I did….

Third Quarter ATC - NW Collage Society Group - 0 1 and 0 2

 

Our theme for this ATC project was to use one of several listed female artists that were unfamiliar to the host.  Jade Purple Brown was the artist that I chose.  She creates colorful works.  I decided to do a portrait of Rosa Parks to add to my background honoring JPB.  Rosa turned out a bit younger than her most famous portraits but no matter.
