Well, I guess I can not count because we have to backtrack to number 09 today.  I don’t know how I got ahead of myself with using number 10 first but I did.

Today was a great day at the beach in Lincoln City, Oregon.  We went to a fantastic place for breakfast called the Otis Cafe.  It is in Otis, Oregon and is a great place for a meal.  I had the best hash browns I have ever had and I like hash browns a lot.  The cinnamon rolls were just like Ole made when I was a kid.  Ole was the lady who lived up the road and each Sunday she made cinnamon rolls that she baked in a wood burning stove.  Ole is long gone but the memory is not.  Thanks Otis Cafe for bringing back that long ago cinnamon roll experience.

I am so into the playing card thing that I just started 15 more.  I think I may take prepared cards with me to Ireland and create ATCs for each day I am there.  I mulling other possibilities as well.

I particularly like how the three major elements work in this piece.  It seems as if my eye is just rotating from the woman to the horse and then to the word POW.  I rather like that. :-)

Bold.  Bold letters.  So strong and yet the gentleman seems prominent as well.  But the word WHAM is powerful in and of itself.  When I took Seth’s workshop and we were done doing the backgrounds Seth mentioned that we could then start on the collages.  One woman could not believe that she had more to do and would be covering up what she had already completed.  I think perhaps she was new to mixed media.  The name of the game is to be willing to let go and if need be cover up something that we are quite satisfied with.
