Collaborative Project - 07
It is exciting to think I will get another box of art sometime in the future. I do not know if the graphic artist has completed the boxes or not. One day a surprise package will arrive.

Collaborative Project - 01
i joined in on a collaborative project. Maybe not collaborative in the sense of more than one person working on one piece. This time I sent 25 tiny books to Germany. The woman collecting the art from 25 artists creates a box for the art. She is a graphic artist and curates all 25 artists work into a box of art treasures. My portion of the project is individual books made from teabags and money plant coins. Within the tiny books are four collages. I will do a little video of my part of the project in a few days.
I placed a two-sided collage into each side of the teabag pockets in the tiny books. Each book was then placed into a cloth teabag which I had stamped and hand-painted.

I’ve Got to Give It a Hand - 08
This is my only major use of red in this journal. Mostly I used earth tones which was a pleasant challenge,

I’ve Got to Give It a Hand - 06
A good art friend of mine collects pieces of metal on his walks. I was gifted some of what he has found and here we go using it. Thanks, Robert.

I’ve Got to Give It a Hand - 03
I wanted to try and do something different on each page…stitching, buttons, fabric. It took a bit of time to complete the journal but it might be one of my favorites.

I’ve Got to Give It a Hand - 01
I forgot to do a still photo of the cover of this new tiny journal. It has a ceramic hand on it. You might have to wait until the video of the book to see it.

Another Postcard -49
I had no intention of putting the woman with the acrobat. I was cutting out the acrobat and happened to lay the ephemera on that postcard int he making. A narrative evolved from that experience.

Another Postcard -48
Now that I look at the completed piece I see an abstract bird to the left of the bird on the hollyhock. Fun how that turns out. :-)

Another Postcard - 47
I had difficulty today with the packing tape transfer…..not so much creating the transfer but showing it off. The background had to be just right. Anything with yellow seemed to work. I am pleased with the composition.

Another Postcard - 46
I never took up the habit of smoking. Thank goodness. I remember my father trying to give up that habit. He started chewing gum instead. It worked over time.

Another Postcard - 45
There used to be a commercial on tv for Fritos corn chips. There was a bandit known as the Frito Bandito. I remember that bandito when I saw this image. I still love Fritos especially when I make fractured chili.

I use to be on a bowling team. Actually I was on many bowling teams over the years. It was fun having that outlet once a week.

Another Postcard - 43
I suppose being out on the range each night tending to the cattle would be a very lonely life. But just think what the stars must have been like.

Another Postcard - 42
Just another cowboy piece turned into a faux postage stamp. This is the last postcard for awhile. I am in the midst of creating three more mini journals. So I will be working on them up until Christmas. By the time this postcard is published it will be February and you would not have known that I had a queue of blog entries from December 7 to February 2. The reason for preparing so many entries is three surgeries. I will have had both my eye surgeries and on Monday I have my knee replacement surgery….left knee. This old body is getting new parts! :-)

Another Postcard - 41
You may have noticed that I use asemic writing in most of my collages. It is just a great finish off a piece technique.
