Yesterday I spent the day in Port Townsend, WA in an encaustic open studio session. I was able to create and create some more. Below you will see several of the backgrounds I created. The next step is to use them in collage. They photograph a bit dark. Time will tell what they will become.

I love the look of these there is a richness to the color. Looking forward to seeing what you do with those.
Are these done on a hot plate that one of the NWCS presenters showed us?

What fun, John! These look amazing and are already very “layered” so that the eventual pieces you create using these backgrounds as substrates should be complex and very striking, visually!
