I don't remember where I found this image.  All I can say is that I really like how it turned out after using iColorama.  I had to remove the background and after about ten steps I created the "shadow" images.

In playing around with iColorama on this piece I particularly like how the background came out.  There are also some striations that I like over the automobile.  It was not intentional but there is a bit of a green aura around the heads of the men and I like that, too.

I hope you are not getting tire of my playing around with iColorama because I am definitely not.  This past weekend I demonstrated the application to several people at an art retreat I attended and they were sold on it.

Speaking of the art retreat, I was really busy and almost completed about 35 new pieces.  I just have some finish work to do on them.  So new works coming very soon.  Today and tomorrow I am teaching and I have to get the Collage Society acceptance/nonacceptance letters out for our next show.  Then I can finish up several of my new works.

This was easy to create in iColorama.  There is a tab called Rebound.  You add a photo into iColorama, click on Rebound, and the image disappears.  It reappears as you rub the screen of your smart phone or iPad.  The reappearance image has a watercolor appearance.  Flecks of white remain.  I am working on a self portrait image for my next ATC for my international group. Not sure if this is the one though.

Sumo II is my second entry for the collage show.  Someone asked me if I was using pieces that I had already created or was I making new pieces for the show.  I had entertained using what I already had but then decided to create new pieces as the already completed ones were double sided.  The substrate for all three pieces is muslin.  I will float the works on watercolor paper before framing if any are accepted into the show.

Sumo I is the first of three works that I am submitting to the NW Collage Society Show to be held at the Rosehill Center in Mukilteo, Washington.  I have used the sumo figure in a previous work.  The show will run from Easter Monday through the end of June.  It is a juried show so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will be accepted.

While watching an online video for a class I am taking I decided to do a quick collage with ephemera on my desk.  Usually when collaging I use matte medium but I only had a glue stick this time and went ahead.  Alice is the result.  You might notice that the chop mark is different than my usual one.  I lost my chop mark for a few days and just found it in that "safe" place that I was suppose to remember and did not!  Does that ever happen to you?

I am taking an online class....Inspired By Lives And Letters taught by Lendon Noe.  It is a paper manipulation workshop.  Our first task was to create some paper folded envelopes.  I decided to put two collages inside my envelope.  I used paste papers for the envelope and sealed it with string and wax.

I am fascinated by the original image.  To catch a split second in mid air is genius to me.  I wanted to crop this image and to change up the background.  I wanted to catch the glance of the woman.  She must have known she was being photographed.  Maybe it was a set up.  For some reason I doubt it though.
