My friend, Jacki, wrote in a comment that her aunt use to say “You are a sight” whenever Jacki visited. I image the aunt shorten it from, “You are a sight for sore eyes.” Perhaps these sayings are shorten because of local custom from the original.
I like the simplicity of this series of collages, this being a collage of four elements plus the background paint.

I am captivated by this beautiful blue and remembering your reference to the blue in the snow. I love it and what you collage with it!
Hmm. 'You are a sight' in my mother's parlance was extremely negative and completely contrary to 'a sight for sore eyes' which suggests comfort and balm! xcr
Oh, Blue Chip Stamps! We used to have we books and books of these sitting around the house (as well as books of S & H Green Stamps, as my mother saved them to “buy” all manner of household items: a custom from the late 50’s and early 60’s that seems very quaint in the current more technological age in which we now live!
