Last month I signed up for a Lewis Rossingol workshop through CarlaSonheim.com. It turned out to be one of the best online workshops I have ever taken. I have done a few portraits in my life but taking this class inspired me to do more and more and more of them. I will be sharing many of these portraits on this blog. Remember I share the best of what I do with the not so good. It is just what I am producing and learning to do better.
Using my style and my love for making postcards I created this one. It is not perfect and I have learned a lot more in one month than I ever thought I would learn but boy am I having fun. The one I did today will be shown in the future. I just want to explain that I am trying to do a portrait a day and just have fun but also increase my skill level.

I think this is terrific, John. I look forward to more and more.
I love this one! I am wondering what he is thinking...do you know?
I agree John. Lewis's class was terrific and I am thrilled there more than likely will be another. LOVE your portraits.
Really love this piece, John! The face, to me, is pensive, with just a touch of sadness. I love that he is looking up at something—we don’t know what—that he is considering with great thoughtfulness. Great combination of bright colors in the background with soft, muted blacks, whites snd shades of gray in the subject.
Terrific piece
You already have your JA style
Looking forward to more
