Since the collages in this book has a theme of TEN, I particularly like the cancellations with 10. They add a bit of boldness and line quality. My eye seems to focus on the black first and then relaxes into the rest of the piece.
Our mind reads what it expects to see! My eyes read: “going to the doctor “...and then thought they saw: “regie dies”.... Double-take! It’s terrific john..and i agree..i love the black cancellation stamps, particularly because they also are 10’s! That must have felt like a real triumph to pull all that together...
Loving this series- I have loved stamps since I was very young and I remember a friend of my father's gave me a stamp album and I began collecting. The bold black does grab attention first then the eye can wander.

The stamp borders are stunning, and yes, the cancellation marks add so much.
This is really a fun series, and I look forward to each one.
