I love it when I create pieces that have objects that layer but are out of proportion. I like how large the woodpecker is and how large Popeye is, totally out of proportion. Another thing I particularly like in this piece is the boldness of the red spots. Even though they are in the background they jump right out at me.

Yes, I agree. The eye loves to be surprised.
And I think the red is gorgeous and vital.
Love the malevolent woodpecker all ready to peck the tyre! All over nice effect here.
