24 Brand Spankin' New Postcards - 12

There seems to me to be a bit of camouflage in this piece.  The strength of the yellow holds my eye and then as I relax I continue in the depth of the piece and see the bird.  Do you study the piece first before reading the comments that I make or do you read the comments first?  I like the softness of the piece.  I am calmed by looking at it.

    I am a “study-first-person” also john...whether online or at a gallery...each one in this series is more fabulous than the previous..i don’t know how you parted with this one..

    I go back and forth between the image and your thought.I read a sentence, go back to the image, read another sentence, back to the image. Then I study the image for quite while.
    I love the scale here. An interaction between the bird and the man seems imminent. Although the bird appears more aware of the man than the man of the bird. I see the bird as normal size and the man extremely tiny. When I look again I see the man as normal size and the bird is huge! Great story and composition here.

    I like the way the plant seems to be a parasol for the bird tho' one would expect it to be for the figure! xcr
